Midnight Meditation

I'm taking another acrylics class. The instructor, who is absolutely fantastic, is really helping me slow down and thoroughly plan a piece before I get to the actual painting part. I have yet to put any paint down on my canvas in class but I think today is the day! Anyway, the other night I was itching to paint so I put together this simple composition so I wouldn't get too caught up in the details. All I wanted to focus on was spreading paint around on the page.
